Ichiji- Ichi means #1 and ji sorta means person, combining them it means person #1...you get the idea

Usagi- rabbit Oni- demon Fuu - strong wind Hikaru-- related to flames Umi -- ocean Yuki Tennyo-- Kingdom of Snow or Heaven Goku- one who undestand 'nothingness' or emptiness Shinichi -- first life? (not sure)  I forgot the rest. |

Hikaru- means to "shine"
Hikari- light Yuki- snow Yuuki- bravery Tsuzuki- continue (noun) Hisoka- a secret Ken- sword ichigo- strawberry Hakkai- 8th floor of a building @Greyland- Mamoru is actually a verb and it means "to protect". So Mamoru's name from Sailor Moon means "to protect". |

Okita Souji : "Souji" means "cleaning up"; the name fits because Okita's job (I knew through Kaze Hikaru) was to "clean up" the Vice Captain's dirty doings

Also,"okita" is the past tense of "to wake up". I doubt that that's what Watsuki sensei thought of though. :P
Rove isn't Japanese. Shako means: 蝦蛄【しゃこ】 Shako (n) squilla; mantis crab 車庫【しゃこ】 Shako (n) garage; car shed; (P) 鷓鴣【しゃこ】 Shako (n) partridge |

"mika" means new moon^^ it's girl's name in japan, but it's boy's name in finland^^ weird, isn't it?
