Why do I like Kagura? Let me count the ways!. She's not as all powerful as Kikyo and not as "pure" as Kagome, but this, to me, makes her seem like one of the more human of the "Inu Yasha" gals... eh... despite being a wind demon that is... And in actuality I have allot more sympathy for her situation then I do for the rest of the girls, since none of them are being held under the boot of their creator/boss/parent who literally hold their lives in their hands, and they at least have memories of happier times and they have people who care for them and love them.

Kagura, I feel, is almost like an abused, exploited child or slave. Put yourself in her situation; She was just created and had her heart taken from her, home is more like a prison and her family her jailers, she has no past and no happy memories. That would be hard on anybody!. Yet, I admire her for being probably the only one of Naraku's creations (Kohaku doesn't count, since he's not a spawn of Naraku to begin with) to really have a mind of her own, to want to get away and be free of him.

Now, I've heard people say "but she doesn't have the courage to fight him for her freedom herself" or along the same lines "but she's so wimpy and sneaky, always going behind his back to get what she wants"; Well, think about it for a moment. Naraku holds her heart within himself, and there's no way she can just take it from him. He could end her life just by crushing it in his hand, so, the way I see it, it's like Kagura is walking around with Naraku holding a gun to her head. How "brave" do you expect one to be in a situation like that? And where's the line between bravery and downright foolhardiness? Of course she'd have to be somewhat sneaky and go behind his back! And unless I'm mistaken, she did try to attack Naraku directly when she found out he was just -*test*-('")ing her, but look how that ended up!.

What's more (Kouga fans, I mean no offense to you!) but I was actually glad to see her attack Kouga and his wolves!. After setting his wolves on all those innocent villagers (Rin included!) just because they "needed a snack", kidnapping Kagome and behaving like an absolute chauvinistic pig towards her, I feel he and his pack got what was coming to them!. Karma!.

Plus, on a superficial level, I think her looks really set her apart from the other IY gals, 'cause at the beginning I couldn't tell Kikyo, Kagome and Sango apart, but I could sure regonize Kagura!. There's just something about a magic wind fan and a magic feather! LOL!. Not to mention her potty mouth is an amusing change from the other polite spoken girls! Heh!. Also, I rather like the idea of Kagura and Sesshomaru as a possible pairing. So far, she's the most likely candidate (Rin is more like a daughter to him, he, Kagome, Kikyo, Sango, barely aknowledge eachother and Sara is dead) and I think it's be cool for Sesshomaru's group to have one more member, and for Rin to have a female influance in her life. It's unlikely, but ahh well! I hope Mrs. Takahashi doesn't rule that out as a possibility at least!.

Her voice in the American anime is the worst, I hate it.

That's not entirely accurate. She sorta did confront him in "Enigma of Kagura," but he quickly showed her her position, and naturally she would not again dare to move directly agianst him.

ya once shortly after her first showing in anime she confrunted neraku and then yelled but neraku has the power to kill her and her sisters and brother in a grasp for he holds there harts"litterly"in his hands,and i like her kind of couse if she had a chose right now i bet she would be some where were there is a lot of wind and being a sweet wind sorcers she in one ep. she đi not want to fight inuyasha or still sangos kid brother "sorry if i am borring you"
