Who do you think is the most important, both to you and to the manga?

Besides Inuyasha, my choice is between Kagome and Sesshomaru

Well, Even thought I love Sesshou. I have to go with Kagome on this one. I mean without her, Inu would still be stuck to a tree.

It's a given that the first characters would be the ones who set the story at the start. But it's the one that will drive it to its conclusion that is the most important. In her death, I bet you, Kagura sowed the seeds of Naraku's destruction.

Though maybe not the most important, Kagura kept the story very intresting, she had character, she gave impacts of different emotions and effected those around her. So that to me makes her a very important character.

To me every character is important, since they all play some kind of role, and without them there wouldn't be a story :O
But Kagome seems like the most important compared to the rest

I say Sesshoumaru.. And Naraku (he's the reason why the manga's still continuing).. And Kikyou.

Kikyou is most definately the most important character of this series. All this started based on a deranged criminals desire for her. She is the original keeper of the jewel. It was entrusted to 'her' and no matter how many cooks you add to the kitchen there is only one 'Master Chef', thats Kikyou.
I can only hope that Kikyou is not reduced to a lesser character at the close of the series, she should be 'leading' the assault to defeat Naraku.
